Standard VS: As the title implies, it's your regular average VS Mode.You can set custom rules, like how long the matches lasts or what kind of blocks will appear, and can choose whatever character you have unlocked. In VS Mode, you can hone your skills in Fantetris against a CPU player, of which you can set the difficulty of, or battle it out with your friend in 2 player battles. Uh oh.these are blocks you do not wanna get! If you end up clearing a row with these blocks in them, they won't clear it.they'll add an extra row! Don't worry though, because after 20 seconds they'll turn into regular blocks. Good for keeping your opponent off of you. These blocks are very magical: when you put them in a row then clear said row, that row will then be teleported to the opponent's side! It'll only be a single row, however, even if you end up clearing more then one row. The more power blocks in a row, the more damage stacks up. Clearing a row with one of these blocks in them will deal extra damage to the opponent. These blocks are fueled by pure, poweful electricity, and as such deal more damage then normal blocks. Use this block to clear some splace on your board with these booming blocks! These blocks are pretty explosive.literally! When you clear a row using these, they'll explode, not only destroying the row but also destroying some blocks, creating a crater. Sometimes the most simple blocks are the most useful blocks, after all. These are your main blocks, and they come in 7 iconic shapes: I, J, L, O, S, T, and Z. These blocks might not do anything special at all, but without them you literally cannot play the game. After a super move is used, it cannot be used again for the rest of the match, so you better use them wisely.
The other is an "Attack Move", which will hinder the opponent in some way. One is an "Advantage Move" and will benifit the user with a power-up or extra blocks. To assist you in taking out the opponent, you can sometimes get special blocks that do special things when actions are preformed.Įvery character has two super moves they can preform once per match. If their health is all gone, you win the match. The more rows you clear at once, the more health you'll take. Every time you clear a row, you chip off a bit of the opponents health. There are two ways to K.O opponents: either by depleting their health bar or if the opponent's screen fills up with blocks. As the stage progresses, the blocks will begin to rise steadily towards the top of the screen, with new blocks generating from the bottom.
The player can also earn combos clearing more than three blocks in a single move. Any blocks above cleared lines will fall, which can be used to cause chain reactions if they touch other matching blocks. The player must use an on-screen cursor to arrange colored blocks into horizontal or vertical rows - matching together three or more blocks of the same color will destroy them.
